Thursday night was the annual fundraiser for REBUILD globally. Runway to Haiti: A Night of Ethical Fashion featured a live runway show spotlighting the handcrafted footwear and accessories of Deux Mains Designs. Models strutted down the runway in beautiful sandals and accessories made in a small workshop where artisan craftsmen and women repurpose tires and source local leathers using their own two hands. The goal of Deux Mains Designs and their nonprofit partner REBUILD globally is to empower the people of Haiti with dignified education and employment, and to provide a footwear brand everyone can be proud to own. 

Runway to Haiti was an especially important event for us here at Macbeth. Back in January, our own Jim, Hillery and Morgan spent 2 days in Haiti at the Deux Mains workshop learning about their mission and, of course, doing what comes naturally to us: capturing REBUILD globally's story on film.
